BackThe Misbourne Shortlisted for The Careers Excellence Awards 2019
Posted on: 7 Nov 2019The Misbourne was one of just three schools nationally to be shortlisted for the Careers & Enterprise Company’s prestigious Careers Excellence Award for School or College of the Year. Headteacher, Jo Meloni along with Careers Lead, Helen Hill and Senior Students John and Danni attended the inspirational awards ceremony which was held in London on 27 September where the school received a commendation award.
As the lead school, The Misbourne has been instrumental in driving the success of the Buckinghamshire Careers Hub. Senior student John provides valuable challenges and a student voice on the Hub Board. The Misbourne is also supporting a pilot for the new Compass+ Dashboard, which demonstrates willingness to try new approaches and be at the forefront of improvements in careers education.
Careers Lead, Helen Hill said “Preparation for employment is an integral part of everything we do at The Misbourne. We aim to prepare our students to go on to further or higher education or skilled employment to enable them to make significant contributions to society”
