Welcome to The Misbourne
As Headteacher it gives me great pleasure, on behalf of the trustees, staff and students, to welcome you to The Misbourne.
‘We are a community that values learning, promotes kindness, and strives for excellence in all we do.’
There is a strong community ethos about our school, and we aim to achieve our vision by providing a happy, safe and stimulating learning environment that allows students to flourish through mutual respect, kindness and a strong desire to succeed. Our excellent pastoral care and strong partnerships with families and the wider community, complement our carefully developed curriculum, giving students a well-rounded education that goes far beyond academic qualifications - preparing them to take their place confidently in the wider world, to lead happy and successful lives and make a positive contribution to society.
Our dedicated team of staff believe that there are no barriers to learning that cannot be overcome. They work tirelessly to instil the belief in each student that they can achieve more than they ever thought possible. Each student is treated and respected as an individual; each has gifts and talents waiting to be explored; together we work to bring out the very best in them.
We strive for educational excellence in every lesson, every day, through a climate of mutual respect and high expectations from Year 7 through to Sixth Form. We actively promote British values and equality and use the ‘Misbourne Way’ - Learning, Kindness, Excellence - as our guiding principles to reward positive behaviour, leadership and community involvement.
Our door is always open to families who are considering The Misbourne for their children and to prospective employees who share our values and aspirations.
If you cannot find the information you are looking for or wish to see the school in action, then please do not hesitate to make arrangements via the school office admin@themisbourne.co.uk to arrange a visit.
Staff and students are exceptionally proud of our school and we would love to show you around.
Mr Richard Peters LL.B (Hons)
