The Misbourne Sixth Form students celebrate outstanding results

Posted on: 18 Aug 2022

Year 13 students from The Misbourne were celebrating their successes today with the release of some excellent results for A-level and equivalent qualifications, including many students achieving a clean sweep of 3 grade As or higher.  The school, which is the Lead School for the Bucks Careers Hub, places particular emphasis on ensuring students secure their first-choice destination, whatever their chosen path (degree, apprenticeship or employment), and were delighted with the excellent outcomes for so many, such as:

Jess H (A*, A*, A*) reading Sociology & Politics at UCL

Connor J (A*,A*,A) - reading Psychology at Cambridge University

Hannah P (A*, A*, A) reading History at Exeter

Aneeq B (A*, A*, A) reading Chemical Engineering at London

Sophie P (A*, A, A) - Law degree apprenticeship at Leeds

Tom A (Distinction, A*, A) reading Sport Psychology at Loughborough

Finn W (A*, A, A) reading International Relations at Birmingham

Noelle C (A, A, A) reading Biomedical Sciences at King's College

Nell A (A, A, A) reading International Relations at Queens in Belfast

Amy H (Distinction, A, A) reading Chemistry at York

Oscar G (A, A, A) reading Economics at Loughborough

Headteacher Rich Peters commented:

‘This has been an excellent set of results for our students, with the vast majority of students achieving their first-choice university course.  This year group will always have a special place in our hearts at The Misbourne - despite their GCSE exams being replaced with CAGs during the first Covid lockdown in 2020, they bounced back with resilience, determination and focus, working with teachers to ensure they achieved such excellent results and are best placed for the next steps in their career.  The compassion, empathy and care they have shown towards each other in their school journey has been a privilege to witness; we wish them all the best for their futures. Congratulations to all who have been successful, and we look forward to hearing news of their ongoing achievements through our alumni programme.’’
